Olivia Kneibler is a life-long artist and illustrator with a long list of commissions and credits, honors and awards.

The artist was born in Missouri and raised in rural Kansas just outside Kansas City.   Her mother was a wonderful portrait artist and her father a nuclear physicist.  While she was always fascinated with science, art was her bliss.  At the age of three her biggest dilemma was where to put the second eye when she drew profiles.  She finally solved the problem in Picasso-type fashion by putting both a subject's eyes on her profiles.

Despite her early love for art, it was only after she had grown into adulthood, joined the U.S. Air Force, married and started a family that she decided to seriously pursue commercial art and illustration. She hasn't put down her brushes since.  She began to freelance for a  wide variety of companies and for many years created commissioned artwork for greeting cards, invitations, promotional materials, fabric, figurines and a host of other products.

Some of the companies she freelanced for included The Bradford Exchange, Gibson Greetings, TradeMarketing, Crafty Productions, Paper Magic Group, the Annette Funicello Collectible Bear Company, Leisure Arts, Gooseberry Patch, Fabri-quilt, Walter Drake and many more.  She was the in-house senior designer at DecoArt, worked in all aspects of their creative department and focused extensively on their Liquid Rainbow product line.

After years of working as a freelancer and creating art on commission or as part of an in-house design studio, she decided to open her own company, which she named Olivia and Company.  Now she has begun to make her original works available for licensing onto a broad range of commercial products.

Porterfield's is delighted to be the exclusive licensing representative for this extremely creative artist.
